TeRra Han is a Korean kayageum musician, she was a child prodigy and was performing by age 8. For over 30 years as a professional musician, TeRra has explored musical world and led Asian young artists on a path to self-discovery and helped them to imagine the possibilities. TeRra has been inspiring and encouraging the current and next generation of musicians & artists, even scientists that they can do anything.
TeRra’s curiosity of the world, the universe in order to find ultimate true beauty of the sound had come to exploring scientific world, it led her to co-research about her instrument of Asian Zither traditions with MIT ( Massachusetts Institute of Technology) acoustic department. As well as, she has been participating the community of Google music AI, Magenta Github, not only that also her vigorous social activity in the cyber space brokethrough the 10,000 members of Facebook group ‘New York, Asian Classical Musicians Network by TeRra’ in 2 weeks in 2016.
Through these extraordinary life careers of her, she realized by herself the lack of platforms to connect arts and science (or technology), as well as old ancient times and the space to present despite of increase of emphasis on coalescence all them. Furthermore as she felt them needed it to archive and share with people more widely in digital format, especially traditional genres.
From its inception and as being a explorer both music and scientific world she had decided to found this world premiere VR museum, TMARSᵛʳ by herself Nov. 2017 in New York. TMARSᵛʳ is a non profitable 501(c)(3) organization, one part of sponsored institutes of ‘TeRra Han Foundation Inc.’.
